Description |
Trav incorrectly calculates angular error of closure when the backsight bearing is in the NW, SE or SW quadrants. The example below contains correct results with the starting bearing in the NE quadrant. When you change the quadrant to NW, the angular error is variable, sometimes 670380 seconds. In the SE quadrant, the angular error is variable, sometimes 1296120 seconds. In the SW quadrant, the error is variable, sometimes 648120. Changing the backsight bearing or restarting Trav seems to trigger this behaviour. The only reliable quadrant is NE.

The following correct results were generated by the New Trav module and have been confirmed using the old Trav program.
WARNING!!!!!!!! However, changing to a starting foresight of NW,SE or SW does not produce the correct angular error!!!!!!
