Title |
Degree symbol in Microstation
Description |
A user reports that when an iPOGO DXF file is imported into Microstation, the bearing degree symbol is translated to '33/64' in the current font definition of the Microstation seed file.
Comments |
iPOGO uses the standard Windows character combination 'ALT-0176' to display a degree symbol. The font definition in the user's seed file recognizes this as '33/64' instead of a degree symbol. This character will be changed to match the standard DXF degree symbol character of '%%D' in the next release.
An immediate work around is to use a different font in the Microstation seed file that interprets the Windows characters properly.

Resolution |
Added field to DXF export dialog box for user defined degree character. Also modified the dialog box to prompt for text height instead of plan scale. Modified functions to export text and symbols at specified text height.
