PRINTING/PLOTING

How do I plot my drawing to scale?

Plotting in iPOGO is currently a three step process. Do not plot directly from the File menu Print option. Only plot from the right mouse button menu on the graphics window. However, you must synchronize the plotter settings as follows:

    1) Select the File menu Print Setup option, select the Windows printer or plotter, select the sheet size, select the orientation and close the dialog box.

    2) In interactive mode, pan or zoom to the center of the area to be plotted. Enter the desired plot scale in the Plot Scale text box located on the bottom right corner of the graphics dialog box. Press enter to set the view scale in the graphic viewer.

    3) Right mouse click on the graphics to view the popup menu and select the Print option. Synchronize the plotter settings controlled through this dialog box to match the settings set in step 1. Press the Ok button to accept the settings and send the drawing to your plotter. The scale in the Plot Scale text box should not change values. If it does, then there is a problem with the synchronized settings.

This process has been successfully tested on three different HP plotters and various printers. In the future, the process will be modified to automatically synchronize the Whip! printer settings with the system printer settings.
